Oxymora

If you've watched the movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, (which is an awesome movie by the way) you probably would remember the part where Oscar had flashbacks of him and his father's oxymoron retort while fencing (was that fencing?) anyway, since then I had a sudden inclination on oxymora.

So, I have been researching and found out a long list of oxymora. Of course I know what an oxymoron is, almost every literate person knows what it is. but for those who forgot, an oxymoron is when two opposing words are yoked together in one expression and makes perfect sense. One common example is the jumbo shrimp.. or serious fun, pretty ugly. This concept of "marriage of opposites" as what I've read in one site is what makes an oxymoron so fascinating. btw, oxymora is the plural form of oxymoron. It's not 'oxymorons' though that term is used by many people it still is technically incorrect, but some language scholars already consider it acceptable. But if you're a stickler for accuracy, use oxymora ;)
