Pet Peeves
I'm skipping the days. Supposed to be in Day 04- "What you ate today" but I haven't been in the mood to blog about my preferred nourishment so I shall let that pass.
I am PMS-ing. Not sure with the term but it is that before menstruation period when you feel agitated, uncomfortable and irritated to merely anyone and anything around you. Seriously, though, everyone seems dumber when you're in that time of the day. Hence, this post :)
top 6 pet peeves list: (in no particular order)
1. When sales people follow you around while you're in a store.
- It's like I'm going to steal something! I appreciate the assistance you wish to give customers but sometimes, please care to back off and let people decide on what they want. We know how to ask for your help when needed. No hate, but sometimes there are these saleslady that makes you so awkward to go around and "search" because they follow and constantly offer you things..... which btw we don't need since we still continue looking. I try to act cool around them, like not giving a damn, but I usually end up leaving the store. Screw you, you just lost one possible profit.
2. When you're in a hurry then suddenly all obstructions come your way.
- I do not know if it is just God's way of telling me to calm down but I deduced this pet peeve when I'm in a hurry for my 7 am class and people in front of me started walking real slow and I can't seem to make my way through them and I just literally trail behind their steps. :| I bet it's just all in the mind though.
3. When loud women (they're usually women) talks their way through people and cuts the line.
- Hello? I've waited a whole lot for my turn to order and you bunch of gals just talk loudly.. dominating people then suddenly, you're in front of the line now? GOOD JOB!
4. Jerks who don't give way.
- Be it in traffic, public transportation and others. Don't you just hate when guys take a long seat just chatting while elderly people are standing up? don't you lecture me with that equality thing people reason nowadays, but man, know how to be polite. In cars, too! I haven't started driving but when I do, I promise I'll be the total opposite of reckless, imprudent drivers.
5. Throwing your trash in the streets/manholes/toilet bowls and doing it even explicitly.
- This act must no doubt be a crime. I am not from some green-peace-environmentalist-save-the-earth- campaign group but it doesn't need to take one to be fully aware of what you just did. Haven't this country suffered enough already for you to realize that littering even in the mildest most subtle way is unacceptable.
6. People who cough or sneeze without covering what needs to be covered.
- Plain disgusting! especially when they're near you. Don't go spreading viruses on people or worse, don't be a walking virus/threat to people. Simple gesture means everybody happy :)

Your school
I study at the royal and pontifical University of Santo Tomas. I've been pretty much accustomed to hearing people introduce UST starting with the phrase "Royal and Pontifical". There is something about those words that made me use them as well. As far as I can remember, it was discussed in our orientation how UST bore such titles.. Basically, royal, since it was subsequently placed under royal patronage. Pontifical, simply because the pope is our homie!! :D and the rest is 400 year history.
Honestly, I underestimated this school, it's like everyone can get in prior to the exam but boy I was wrong. Easy admission but try staying. It's only now that I realize what a privilege it is for me to be studying in a school established by and directly under the authority of the Holy See. (apparently the only in Asia.) I'm still a freshman so I haven't fully grasped the idea of being one proud Thomasian or Growling Tiger, but I'm getting there - except when we win UAAP games though.
Speaking of being holy/pontifical/apostolic, I still have to continue my Theology readings for the exams.... -_-

Relationships
I'm a teenager, I'm supposed to fall in and out of love all the time. That's what they do right? well, at least that's what Katy Perry's song Teenage Dream implies. I'm definitely no expert, I haven't been through much to be a pro on topics like this but I think I'm old enough to know my limits.
Trust is a really big word. I can't even trust myself in making the right decisions so what more confiding my whole being to someone else? I don't intend to offend anyone especially teenagers who are in boyfriend-girlfriend relationships but I don't believe in falling in love with someone you just knew for a few months now. Relationship means more than sharing the same hobbies / passion or relating to their lives. Again, entrusting your being to someone else is really a BIG thing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not some numb hard like a rock kind of person. Books and movies always get me.. I often find myself saying "aww" and wishing that I'm the girl in the story or that that guy will eventually come my way. I like giving in to the fantasy of the romantic comedy genres. The smitten feeling I get whenever I see the super gorgeous Ryan Gosling on screen or the i-don't-know-what-to-do feeling when I see my crush in school. I'm also like any other teenage girl. I sometimes cannot contain the feeling to the point that I squeeze or slap a friend beside me. I know you know what I mean. and I also daydream for that perfect fairy-tale like loveshit that everyone else hopes to exist.
Movies only taught me so much and I shouldn't base my standards on what I know, I'm still 16 and I have yet to meet so many guys. I'm still a freshman for goodness sake, give me about 12 months. :)
I'm ending this post with this cute adventure time gif ...

INTRODUCE YOURSELF.
My name is Patricia J T. Yusingco. People call me Pat or Patrice but my close friends insist on calling me Patis, so I let them. I've been living in the playful streets of Metro Manila for sixteen years already. I blow out candles every 27th of March and I am a college freshman taking up BS Pharmacy in the royal and pontifical University of Santo Tomas. I am a Filipino, yes, loud and proud, albeit all the hostage crises criticisms and the world's corrupt countries' ranking. I'm also of Chinese descent, my father's father is a full China-man! kind of cool but I didn't get to see him and most of my grandparents for that matter. (all have been dead long before I was conceived except for my mom's mother)
I consider my height and weight average, over 5 feet and I'm-not-sure inches and a little over a hundred pounds. My hair has a mind of its own, it's black in sheer darkness but brownish in direct sunlight, although I've been planning to dye them. I got few strands of white hair, thus, evidence of my ceaseless stressing out. I'd like to think I can write but I just do it for leisure, and I do it to make sense of things that sometimes end up having no sense at all. I would love to write professionally, like as a career in the future, but I have yet to achieve that. I'm a self proclaimed bibliophile, I like books as a whole. I also love it when books have movie adaptations. Thought Catalog inspires me to write and read.
I dig hiphop and bboy. I have a thing for people who dance well. Listening to music gives me a sense of good vibes for the day ahead. If my ipod was not stolen, it'll probably crash by now from all songs I could have downloaded in there. I try to appreciate all kinds of music but my ears can't seem to handle the hardcore metal screaming type. Scouting for good old music from way back movie soundtracks makes me happy- that is aside from finishing a book and finally opening a new one AND smelling it.
My brain can't stop from having a conversation with itself. You see? daydreaming and talking to myself are some of my hobbies.
I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life that's why when I grow up, I want to be a magazine editor. I also want to be a court side reporter, a film critic/analyst, a wildlife filmmaker, tour guide in Italy, an interior designer, corporate lawyer, forensic expert, barista at Starbucks, family doctor, and a triathlete, although I think what I really need for now is a long enough attention span to get through school. I am as ambitious as anyone can be.

I just did not want to label it as a challenge and pressure myself to accomplish it in 30 days because of the fact that I know I tend to procrastinate a lot.

I kind of tweaked the essay topics so it would be more interesting for me to write (and probably for you to read) like in Day 02, it is originally "Your first love", in Day 14, it is actually another "what you wore today" so I just changed it to "School stuff", Day 16 is originally "Your first kiss" which I have yet to have so might as well change it to "Your hobbies" HAHAHA, Day 18 is originally "Your favorite birthday" and Day 21 which is originally "Another moment". Perhaps soon, I will also change some other essay topics prior to my current life musings. In short, I will modify a lot :)

EXCITEMENT AND TORMENTOUS WAITING
This Stephen Chbosky book fast became a popular "go to" book since I can remember most especially when they heard a movie adaptation and that Logan freaking Lerman and Emma Watson are going to be the lead stars. Well, I can't blame them.
FIRST OF ALL, MY EXCITEMENT = I CAN'T CONTAIN ENOUGH THAT I OPTED TO TYPE THIS PART OF MY POST IN ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS
IT IS TORTURE HAVING TO WAIT FOR GOOD MOVIES! I HAVE THIS ON SEPTEMBER AND THE HOBBIT ON DECEMBER.. NEARLY THERE? No. although come to think of it, there's only a month left haha!
wait. WHAT?
As I was making my blog about the movie "THE HOBBIT", I researched on it and found tumblr posts regarding it, being a TRILOGY. *gasps*
Idk man, at first I was hesitant since it's the prologue of TLOTR! I mean, why make it as long as the main series? BUT realizing that if it pushes through, it's more movie time and more coverage! More years of Tolkien awesomeness!
I personally like movies with more details.. I hate it when there are sudden switch of events and previous scenes are left hanging. I like to know what is going on at all times instead of wondering what's going on. Anyway, I think Peter Jackson knows what he's doing, he has done all 3 Lord of the Rings films right? besides, there's nothing we could do about it. Hopefully, though, it turns out to be the right decision.
